Arvind Kejriwal’s Health Update

Insulin Administration: On Monday evening, Kejriwal’s blood sugar level reached 217, prompting AIIMS doctors’ advice to administer insulin. This marks the first instance of insulin administration since his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21, 2024.

Court Scrutiny on Diet: A Delhi court has questioned the appropriateness of Kejriwal receiving home-cooked meals including mangoes, sweets, and aloo puri, considering his diabetic condition. This scrutiny arises from an April 1 order permitting Kejriwal to have home-cooked meals in jail due to health reasons.

AIIMS’ Response

AIIMS specialists, consulting with Kejriwal via video conference on April 20, had advised insulin administration if his sugar levels surpassed a certain threshold. Subsequently, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) expressed relief via its official communication platform, acknowledging the jail administration’s response to provide insulin to Kejriwal
