The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) likely to announced an important final decision to conduct the Board exams for all Class 12th students on 1st June 2021.
Recently a high-level virtual meeting took place and the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and all other state Education ministers, Education Secretaries and Chairpersons of the State Examination Boards discussed the possibility for the conduct of Board Exams 2021 for Class XII and other entrance examinations for professional courses.
CBSE 12th Class Board Exams Expected Between 15 July- 26 August 2021
Students are eagerly waiting for the big decision of the 12th Class Board Exams expected to take place between 15 July- 26 August 2021. And the result of the Class 12th Board exam is expected in the month of September 2021.
Earlier the government postponed the Class 12th Board Exams and all state board exams due to Corona Virus Pandemic. The exams, which are usually conducted in February-March every year, were scheduled to be held from May 4.
Similarly, the National Testing Agency (NTA) and other national exam conducting institutions have also postponed entrance exams such as JEE Main 2021 and NEET PG 2021 for admissions to professional courses.
As you all know that Corona Virus situation is bad almost in every state and in the country. So, it is a difficult or a challenging task for the CBSE Board to take the exams and also it is a big risk for all the students to go to the centre and take the exam.
CBSE Class 12th Board Exams in Two-Phase and Pattern Change
CBSE had suggested either holding exams only or a few subjects or holding exams for 1.5 hours instead of three hours.
If plan B is accepted, then the exam pattern will also be changed. For a 1.5 hours exam, there will only be MCQs and very short type questions in the exam to allow students to complete the exam in the given time
“The exams will be of 90 minutes duration instead of three hours and will be conducted in same schools where students are enrolled. The questions will be objective and very short answer type. Students will have to appear in one language and three elective subjects,” a source informed news agency PTI.
The tentative timeline for this option is the first phase of exams from July 15 to August 1 and the second phase from August 8-26. Exams are proposed to be conducted on Sundays also, it added.
CBSE in its proposal had also suggested that in plan B, students can be given an option of appearing for exams at a later stage too which will mean that if a student misses an exam due to COVID-19 related issue, they can appear for the boards about 15 days later, however, if this facility will be offered or not will be known on June 1.
I want to tell you that some months ago the government decided to cancel the Class 10th (X) Board Exams and to promote all the students in the next class.
I also want to tell you that Cancel Board Exams was trending at No. 1 on Twitter before this high-level meeting. Right now, most of the students and parents who are concerned for their children health wants to cancel the exams.
Now I think the final decision will be announced by CBSE and the government on 1st June 2021 regarding Class 12th Board Exams.
